Bloodvein River First Nation Jordan's Principle

MISSION STATEMENT

Bloodvein River First Nation Jordan’s Principle Program is an all-inclusive, child-first initiative.

Programming is community-driven and extends services and support to children and their families through advocacy, delivery of programming, collaboration with external stakeholders and navigation of systems.  We strive to revitalize our cultural identity, highlight our strengths and increase services to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual needs of our participants.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The approach of the Program is to fully support and respond to Bloodvein River First Nations children, their caregivers and families in partnership with other professionals and agencies. These services should significantly contribute to quality of life ensuring that children, young people and their families are enabled to experience a life that is as full and equitable to other Canadian children.

The objectives of the Bloodvein River Jordan’s Principle Program are:

- to increase access to best practices and support for children with complex needs and their families;

- to fully support families living with children with complex needs;

- to enhance the child’s life quality;

- to enhance the parent’s life quality;

- to use best practices that improve the child’s function in activities of daily living;

- to use best practices that decrease parent stress and help them to experience themselves as more effective in their parenting role.

VISION STATEMENT

community with increased opportunities, services and an improved quality of life for members
